Scholarships for students
MEGT Institute as a not for profit organisation and a leader in education and training since 1995, believes that education and training should be accessible to all students regardless of their background or income level. We believe that by offering scholarships we are allowing some students access to education training where they may not otherwise be able to avail themselves of this opportunity and we invite potential students to apply for the scholarships that we offer:
Types of scholarships awarded by the Institute
• part-course scholarships
• bursaries covering part of the tutorial cost
• NSW VET in School Bursaries.
The part-course scholarships are awarded for courses with duration of two or more semesters – a semester is 20 academic weeks. These scholarships cover one semester of course fees per year including prescribed text books. Excursions, additional printing or other required items are not included in Scholarship and are at the students’ own expense.
Bursaries are available each year 20% of the course fee only. Text books, excursions and other required items are not included in the Bursaries and are at the students’ own expenses.
NSW VET in School Bursaries is available for students in Year 10 who wish to participate in a Vet-in-School program whilst in Years 11 and 12. This bursary is available for students attending Catholic education schools or Independent schools within NSW. These Bursaries are to cover the difference between the VET funding available through the Catholic Education Office and Independent Schools, and the course cost.
