Bookkeeping – Victoria only
This course provides participants with an introduction to basic finance and accounting
skills. Topics include general ledgers, payroll, accounts payable and receivable and trial balances and have been mapped to units from the BSB07 Training Package.
The course is delivered over 5 weeks, requiring participants to attend 1 full day classroom session per week. Achieving competency in this short course may result in participants receiving a Statement of Attainment towards individual Units of Competency.
White Card Training – Victoria only
Do you need your White Card for on-site work in the construction industry? MEGT Institute offers the one day course in CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the Construction industry.
Topics include
• Identifying OHS legislation
• Identifying construction hazards and control measure
• Identifying OHS communication and reporting processes
• Identifying OHS incident response procedures.
Participants must provide Proof of Identity on the day of the course.
On successful completion of this course, a Statement of Attainment will be issued and certification will be sent to WorkSafe. Participants should expect to receive their White Card within 4 weeks of completion of the course.

Skills for success - Communication and teamwork
‘Communication and Team Work’ is a group training session that has been developed to assist with the improvement of customer service within the Hospitality industry. It will provide participants with an understanding of communication techniques, why quality customer service is important, how to be an effective team member and how to deal with conflict situations effectively.
Topics covered:
• Communication in the workplace
• Customer needs and expectations
• Teamwork
• Conflict with co-workers
• Customer complaints
• Dealing with difficult customers.
This training session encompasses many of the elements in the following core units of the National Hospitality Training Package:
• Work in a socially diverse environment
• Deal with conflict situations
• Working with colleagues and customers
• Provide quality customer service
Cost: $85 per person. Minimum of 8 per session.
*Session is nominally 4 hours in duration.
*Cost includes learning guides for participants.
