Carpentry & Construction
Available in Melbourne, Victoria only
Due to overwhelming demand for construction training, MEGT Institute offers students
pre-apprenticeships and apprenticeships for people interested in entering or furthering
their career. Students have the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised trade
qualification. This may lead to a variety of career opportunities, including employment
as a carpenter, self-employed contractor, supervisor or leading hand.
Flexible training options to suit your business
Students attend our Trade Skills Centre premises in Ringwood, Melbourne, Victoria to acquire the skills and knowledge in housing and commercial construction focusing on Occupational Health and Safety practices, the use of a wide range of hand and power tools, reading plans and documents and calculations.
First year apprentices attend one week of block release training at our Trade Skills Centre throughout the year. We also offer a combination of trade school and on-site assessments for 2nd and 3rd year apprentices.
