How to enrol

How do I enrol at MEGT Institute?

Please ensure that you have read and understood all information in the brochure/website prior to enrolment.

Fill in the application form. When completing your application, please make sure you complete all relevant sections to avoid delays in your enrolment. Check the intake dates MEGT intake 2008.pdf and prices megt-institute-2008-course-price-list.pdf . The completed form can be submitted to a local agent, in person, by mail, by email or by fax. (If you do not have an application form email us via institute@megt.com.au).

Please include a certified copy of any academic transcripts or certificates that demonstrate you meet the requirements for your selected course. 

Successful applicants will then receive:  

  • a  letter of offer
  • an invoice for fees
  • an electronic confirmation of enrolment eCoE upon receipt of payment

          Note: except in countries where Pre Visa Assessment Approval is necessary (check www.immi.gov.au)

          When you receive all the above documents from MEGT Institute you can apply for your student visa at an Australian Embassy or Consulate. Please contact MEGT Institute or your agent if you require further assistance with enrolments. 

          Fees can be paid through your agent or, if booking independently, directly to MEGT Institute by either:

          • sending a Bank Draft in Australian dollars
          • paying by Direct Bank Transfer in Australian dollars
          • paying by credit card in Australian dollars
          • paying at the Institute in Australian dollars.

          Make the above payment to MEGT (Australia) Ltd.

          Refund and cancellation policy

          ‘Cancellation’ refers to the period up to the start of the course. ‘Termination’ means stopping or leaving a course once the course has started. 

          Tuition Fees (the fee applicable for the delivery of training) are refunded in full if a visa application is rejected; however the Enrolment Fee (an administration charge for processing an application) is not refundable. 

          Cancellation of enrolments must be received in writing.

          The accommodation and the airport pickup fees are non refundable. 

          MEGT Institute reserves the right to change course start dates, course curriculum and programs at any time. In the case of cancellation of a course by MEGT Institute, all monies paid to MEGT Institute will be refunded within 7 days. 

          In the case of a course being rescheduled, and the new date is unacceptable to the student, all monies paid to MEGT Institute will be refunded. 

          All unused fees are refunded in the case of MEGT Institute terminating a course.

          Termination of courses

          Tuition fees will not be refunded after termination of any MEGT Institute course by a student.

          Cancellation of courses by the student.

          If 28 days or more written notice of cancellation is given before the course commences, tuition fees will be refunded in full. If less than 28 days written notice of cancellation is given, 80% of tuition fees will be refunded. Enrolment fees are non-refundable. 

          Monies will be refunded in Australian dollars paid through the booking agent or directly to the student in the case of a direct enrolment to MEGT Institute. 

          Where a visa has not been received in time to start a course, the student must contact MEGT Institute in writing and will be offered another starting date. 

          Tuition fees and enrolment fees are non transferable to other students or other institutions. 

          If a student enrols and the course starts on the agreed date but the student does not start on that date and withdraws from the course, 80% of the tuition fees will be refunded and paid within 4 weeks.

          Cancellation of courses by MEGT Institute

          If a student enrols in a course which does not commence on the agreed date due to MEGT Institute and does not transfer to another course, the student will receive a full refund within two weeks. 

          This agreement does not remove the student’s right to take further action under Australia’s consumer protection laws. 

          MEGT Institute is a member of ACPET’s overseas tuition assurance scheme. If, for any reason, MEGT Institute is unable to continue to provide tuition then the student is assured that another provider will complete that part of the training for which payment has been made, at no additional charge.

          Terms and conditions

          By signing the MEGT Institute’s enrolment from, you are agreeing to abide by the following enrolment conditions. 

          MEGT Institute requires students to attend a minimum of 80% attendance.

          All courses offered by MEGT Institute are subject to entry requirements. International students are required to meet the English and academic requirements as set out in each course outline, and may need to undergo an English skills interview before enrolment. 

          All students are required to meet the academic requirements as set out in the course outline. 

          Students are responsible for the safe keeping of any personal items whilst at MEGT Institute. 

          Timetables and course structures are subject to change at any time without notice. 

          Students should respect the rights of other students and trainers and actively contribute to a constructive learning environment. 

          Student should understand that they are governed by both the educational goals of MEGT Institute and the laws of Australia. 

          A student who completes a course but has not paid all the fees for that course will not be issued with their transcripts or qualifications until such monies have been paid in full. 

          Refund policy outlined above.

          Privacy policy

          A student’s right to privacy of information is protected at MEGT Institute under the NSW Privacy and Personal Information Act 1998. 

          In terms of the ESOS Act 2000, your information may be made available to Commonwealth and State Agencies, appropriate fund managers, DIAC.

          School age dependants

          If you are intending to come to Australia with school age dependants, you will be required to pay the full fees for their compulsory schooling.

          Recognition of Prior Learning

          In order to receive RPL, you need to provide written and validated proof of existing qualification and apply at the time of enrolment. It is the applicant’s responsibility to lodge all requests for RPL no later than 30 days prior to commencing the program (or upon application for enrolment if submitted within 30 days of course commencement).  The application must include types of evidence that may assist with the application such as copies of qualifications attained, statements of employment, or examples of work completed. Overseas students are required to attend 20 contact hours per week. Please note that successful RPL application may result in the reduction of the course duration in which case DIAC will be notified.           Study in Australia
