Languages
Languages spoken by staff include – English, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Spanish.
Airport pickup
Students may request to be met personally at the airport and accompanied to their accommodation. We feel that this is the best way to make students feel comfortable on their arrival in a new country.
Homestay placement
We can assist students to find suitable accommodation with a variety of hosts that would suit individual needs. Every effort is made to ensure that the accommodation is safe, clean and conducive to good study habits. This provides an opportunity for students to learn and improve their English skills and to experience Australian culture.
Orientation program
A one day orientation program is provided for students on the Friday before classes start. On this day students will receive all the relevant information about the college's policies and operations and study information. It is compulsary to attend an orientation program.
Tutorial support
Classes are held to assist the student’s individual learning needs.
University placement
After successful completion of their course many MEGT Institute students wish to continue their studies at an Australian university . Our University Placement Advisor will help you to gain entry to a university. We will guide you through the application process and advise you on the most suitable degree program for your needs.
Counselling services
Our multi-lingual staff are available to assist with the welfare and pastoral care of all students studying at MEGT Institute. Students are able to discuss any issues or personal concerns that might arise during their studies. For matters relating directly to the course work, students are advised to speak to the academic staff. Counselling services are available by a qualified counsellor by appointment.
Facilities
MEGT institute provides all the resources necessary to ensure that students have everything they need in order to learn efficiently. We also provide a modern environment so that students can study comfortably.
Student common area
MEGT Institute provides a recreation area for the use of students and their friends. This is an ideal place to enjoy a break. Its features include kitchen, food and drink machines, a study area and a balcony with views to the CBD.
Computer labs
We offer two computer labs with more than sixty internet connected computers. Students also enjoy access to a photocopier and printing facilities during office hours.
Learning resources
Students are also provided with work books and training exercises. A college library is available to students and includes borrowing facilities and internet library access. The institute provides links between students and a wealth of research information via reference books and the internet.
