MEGT Institute’s Travel and Tourism qualification focus on the hands-on skills required of a skilled operator within the Travel Industry.
Travel and Tourism continues to be one of the fastest growing industries, generating thousands of jobs annually. Currently, employers are looking for qualified graduates who have received quality training. The Tourism course offered by MEGT provides a combination of classroom learning with practical sessions to those who have a keen interest in the industry.
It is the role of a tourism trained professional to apply a broad range of skills and knowledge in a variety of work contexts. Studies will include issuing of tickets, using computerised reservation systems and tour booking. On completion of the course, MEGT graduates are able to pursue an exciting career in a variety of employment areas including, International Retail Travel Consultant, International Corporate Consultant, Airline Travel Consultant and Wholesale Travel Consultant.
Our Internship program gives every student the ability to develop their theoretical skills in a practical environment. The knowledge and practice gained during internship would make you more employable to potential employers than someone with no hands on experience
Students gain a separate qualification in Galileo, the standard in travel booking systems, on MEGT's in-house system as part of the tution
