Children's Services

The 6 month, Certificate III in Children’s Services enables you to gain a working knowledge of child development, care giving principals and programming. Upon completion of Certificate III you will have the skills and experience necessary to care for children aged from birth to 5 years in a supervised role in centre based services.

Diploma of Children’s Services extends and builds on your knowledge gained in Certificate III in Children’s Services. Over 12 months, you explore areas of child development in detail, planning of the daily program according to children’s individual needs and establishing a partner ship with parents.

In the Advanced Diploma of Children’s Services (12 or 24 months), you will look at all aspects of the management of children’s service, including team leadership, managing information systems, responding to problems in the service and maintaining a safe environment. Within 1-2 years experience the Advanced Diploma enables you to work as a Team Leader in children’s services.
